Understanding Tip Sizes
The Super Heating Tip range is designed to provide increasing heat output as tip size increases. The SHA1 is suited to general heavy-duty heating applications, while the SHA2 delivers greater heat output for larger workpieces and applications requiring faster heating rates.
By selecting the correct tip size, operators can optimise heating efficiency, minimise gas consumption and achieve more consistent heating results.
Operator Guidance
For optimum performance, set oxygen and acetylene pressures to the recommended values shown above and adjust the flame to achieve a neutral oxy-acetylene flame. Ensure flashback arrestors are fitted to both oxygen and acetylene lines and that all equipment is suitable for the required gas flow rates.
Always follow relevant oxy-fuel safety procedures and ensure adequate ventilation when operating heating equipment.
