The Bulgin Fuel & Compressed Air Torch is a versatile professional heating torch that combines propane or other compatible fuel gases with a separate compressed air supply to produce a hotter, highly adjustable flame for a wide range of industrial, commercial, trade and precision heating applications.
Unlike a conventional air–propane burner that draws atmospheric air into the flame, this torch introduces compressed air directly into the fuel gas stream. The additional air supply allows the operator to control the fuel-to-air mixture using two independent adjustment valves, providing considerably greater control over flame characteristics.
The flame can be adjusted from a large, softer flame for general preheating through to a fine, concentrated flame for precision heating and suitable welding applications, making the torch particularly versatile for fabrication, soldering, jewellery, glass work and specialist workshop applications.
Manufactured with a stainless steel burner and neck tube, extruded aluminium handle and brass control valves, the torch features robust construction designed for reliable long-term professional use.

How the Compressed Air System Works
The Bulgin Fuel & Compressed Air Torch differs from a conventional air–propane torch through the introduction of a dedicated compressed air supply.
Instead of relying solely on atmospheric air being drawn into the burner, compressed air is introduced and mixed with the fuel gas. This increases the oxygen available for combustion and allows a hotter, more concentrated flame to be produced.
Two independent control valves allow the operator to adjust the fuel gas and compressed air separately. By changing the mixture ratio, the flame characteristics can be tailored to the application from a larger, softer flame suitable for preheating to a fine, concentrated flame for precision work.
