Details

Klingspor CS 409 Y abrasive belts use self-sharpening zirconia alumina on a tear-resistant polyester backing for demanding sanding and finishing. The resin bond and close abrasive coating support consistent cutting, while the active multibond coating improves performance on stainless steel and helps limit heat at the contact area.

Sold individually: 1 belt (each). One ordered quantity supplies one individual piece.

Choose the belt dimensions to match the sanding machine before selecting a grit. Coarser grades remove material and establish the surface, while finer grades reduce the scratch pattern for finishing. The polyester backing provides support during machine sanding, and the belt format determines the contact area and access. Follow the machine and belt guidance for fitting, tracking and running direction.

Selection and use

Match both belt width and running length to the machine before ordering. Choose the grit for the amount of stock removal and the required finish; a coarser grit removes material more quickly, while finer grits refine the scratch pattern. Where a joint specification is listed, use the specified running direction and the machine maker’s fitting guidance.
