Use & Care
Inspect before each use. Replace after a serious impact or signs of damage. Clean with warm water and soap; avoid solvents, drilling and extreme temperatures. Manufacturer guidance is to replace the shell after three years from issue and the harness every two years, or sooner if damaged.
Care, Storage & Replacement
Clean regularly with warm water and soap and allow to air dry. Inspect the shell, headband, suspension and accessories before use. Store away from direct sunlight and temperature extremes. Avoid paints, thinners, corrosive cleaning agents, drilling and unapproved labels. Replace immediately after a serious impact, even without visible damage, and after cracks, deformation, flaking, lost gloss or damaging heat, chemical or UV exposure. Record the date of issue inside the shell. Manufacturer guidance is shell replacement after three years from issue and harness replacement every two years, sooner if damaged. Check the stamped manufacture month/year; the manufacturer recommends that hats older than five years should not be sold. These are manufacturer replacement recommendations, not a new expiry date assigned to this listing.
