The IRONWELD IW6002 is a professional-grade, single-stage Argon regulator designed for precision gas flow control in MIG and TIG welding applications. Engineered for the heavy-duty demands of industrial fabrication, this regulator prioritizes structural integrity and operator safety through its premium material selection and robust internal architecture.
Premium Solid Brass Construction
Unlike many market alternatives that utilize a combination of copper and aluminum alloys to reduce production costs, the IW6002 features a forged solid brass body.
- Structural Integrity: Solid brass offers superior tensile strength compared to aluminum-hybrid bodies. This is critical when handling high-pressure cylinders where internal pressures can reach 20,000 kPa (approx. 3,000 PSI).
- Overpressure Safety: In the event of a primary valve failure or a sudden pressure surge, the dense grain structure of forged brass provides significantly higher resistance to "body rupture" than lighter alloy mixes.
- Thread Durability: Brass-to-brass or brass-to-steel connections are less prone to galling or stripping, ensuring a gas-tight seal over years of cylinder changeouts.
Key Technical Features
- Part Number: IW6002
- Gas Service: Argon / Argon-CO2 Mixtures
- Inlet Connection: AS2473 Type 10 (Standard Australian/NZ Stem)
- Dual Gauge Interface: * Cylinder Pressure Gauge: Monitors the remaining gas volume in the tank.
- Flow Meter Gauge: Provides accurate delivery readings in Liters Per Minute (LPM).
- Precision Diaphragm: Equipped with a high-tensile diaphragm designed for consistent delivery pressure, preventing "gas surge" at the start of a weld which can cause porosity.
