KLINGSPOR SMT 975 Special Flap Discs – 10 Pack are designed for grinding and finishing steel, stainless steel. Supplied in packs of 10.

The abrasive or tool is specified for Steel, Stainless steel. Its construction and working form are detailed below, so material suitability, mounting and the selected article can be checked together.

Sold as a full selling pack: 10 discs. One ordered quantity supplies the complete box, pack or set shown for the chosen SKU.

Features and benefits

Ceramic grain with CEVOLUTION technology provides aggressive grinding.
Trimmable plastic backing exposes unused abrasive closer to the centre as the outer edge wears.
Using more of the abrasive surface extends the disc’s working life.
Ceramic aluminium oxide abrasive grain for the listed material applications.
Plastic, glass-fibre reinforced backing plate, with the stated profile and mounting.
Working design: Convex 6º.

Selection and use

Match the flap-disc diameter and bore or Quick Change connection to the grinder or holder. Choose the grit for stock removal or surface finishing, and the stated flat or convex form for the contact area. Flaps present fresh abrasive as they wear. Operate within both the selected disc rating and the compatible mounting and machine limits.

Maximum RPM and peripheral-speed values are article ratings, rather than recommended working speeds. Use the rating for the selected article and follow the limits marked on the abrasive, mounting accessory and machine.
