Among a host of benefits of this abrasive belt are its cloth backing. Tear-resistant polyester ensures safe working even under the toughest conditions thanks to its exceptional stability. These attributes make this abrasive belt with its Y-polyester backing ideal for use with
- centreless sanding machines and
- wide belt machines.
This abrasive material shows exceptional performance when used for intermediate and finish sanding on stainless steel. The abrasive belt CX 409 Y is also an excellent choice for work on steel and NF metal.
With high-quality grain and a multibond coating that guarantees cool grinding
Sanding at high speeds and high stock removal rates quickly generates tremendously high temperatures. This is why green multibond with its cool grinding properties represents a critical element for preventing annealing colours and maintaining corrosion protection when the product is used for work on surfaces made of stainless steel. The abrasive belt CS 409 Y by Klingspor uses zirconia alumina abrasive grain. This material is a synthetically manufactured grain that has self-sharpening properties. This type of grain is marked by its exceptionally aggressive abrasive performance. The multibond used for this product keeps the temperatures generated during use at levels that will not cause heat marks in the material. Better still, the premium bond made of fully synthetic resin plus the close coating provide for an impressive service life.
Abrasive belt CS 409 Y – for a wide variety of metalworking applications
The comprehensive range of available grit sizes and the product’s availability as a short, long and wide belt make the abrasive belt CS 409 Y a versatile tool for a great number of areas. Its stability and outstanding dependability make it an especially useful tool in the steel and stainless steel processing industry, in stainless steel service centres and the treatment of metal surfaces. When used for work on materials made of aluminium and aluminium alloy, the abrasive belt shows an exceptionally low tendency for clogging thanks to its multibond bonding agent.
