Collection: TIG Welders

Choose DC TIG for steel and stainless, or AC/DC TIG for aluminium as well. HF starts without touching the workpiece; lift-start uses touch and lift; scratch-start strikes the tungsten against the workpiece. Check each model’s start method, controls and torch requirements.

HF (high-frequency) start avoids tungsten contact at ignition. Lift-start uses a brief touch before the arc starts as you lift; scratch-start strikes the tungsten against the workpiece and can contaminate the tungsten or weld. TIG capability on a multi-process machine does not automatically include HF start, AC output or pulse. Compare power supply, output and duty cycle, and check which torch and accessories each model requires.
